Is it down?

Paste any URL to see if it is up from your network, plus live official status for 50+ popular services.

How to check if a website is down

When something stops working, the first question is "is it me, or is it them?" Paste the URL into the tool above and it will probe the site from your browser, show whether it is reachable from your network, and link you to the service's official status page if we track it.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between "down for me" and "down for everyone"?

"Down for me" means your connection cannot reach the service, but the service itself is fine for everyone else. "Down for everyone" means the service has declared an outage on its official status page, affecting all (or many) users.

How do I check if a specific site is down?

Paste the full URL (including https://) into the search box at the top of this page and press Check. The tool probes the site from your network and shows reachability, HTTP status code, response time, and (for tracked services) the official status from the service's own status page.

Where does the official status data come from?

From each service's public status page, mostly hosted on Atlassian Statuspage. We poll the public summary endpoint and the incident feed.

What if the site I want to check isn’t in your tracker?

You can still paste its URL and probe it from your network. We also deep-link to Downdetector for community-reported issues, which is the next-best signal if the service has no public status page.
